Until 2006 potential students and their families visited the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the Student Services Building, which incorporated a small area for presentations and meetings. On October 2, 2006, the UT Welcome Center opened in the former University Club at 2704 Kingston Pike. Two buses were used to transport visitors to campus for the campus tour. The center expanded its services by offering special programs about each college, as well as a general overview session.
