Formed after the projects to edit the papers of Tennessee’s three US presidents were consolidated at the university in 1987, the Tennessee Presidents Trust was formed in 1989 to assist in building statewide awareness and support of the work. The trust published a newsletter, the Legacy, and distributed occasional pamphlets highlighting the presidents’ public careers. In 1996 it published a video, Voices for Union.
