Computers in Residence Halls

In January 1994 computers were installed in North Carrick, Clement, and Humes Halls as the first phase of installation of at least two computers for resident use in each residence hall. The project was a joint effort between SGA and the Department of Residence Halls.

Conference Center Building

The Conference Center Building was constructed as the sole Tennessee installation of Atlanta-based Rich’s Department Store in 1955. Stevens & Wilkinson and Raymond Leowy Associates did the design. Two UT alumni have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Army Second Lieutenant Allen J. Greer was awarded the medal on March 10, 1902, for valor on July 2, 1901, during the Philippine Insurrection.
