Volunteer Connection

Long-distance service from residence hall rooms was begun in 1988 as a benefit of Telephone Services to allow students to pay for long-distance calls from residence-hall rooms. The service involved use of a code. Unauthorized use of students’ codes peaked in 1992, with 155 instances totaling nearly $3,000.
