Voice of the Vols announcers include the following people: Football—Lindsey Nelson (1948–52); George Mooney (1952–67); John Ward (1968–98); and Bob Kesling (1999– ); Basketball—Lowell Blanchard; John Ward (1965–98); and Bob Kesling (1999– ). Football games (if sold out and if the opponent agreed) were first broadcast in 1935. Voice of Neyland Stadium PA duties were performed by Bobby Denton from 1967 to 2013, and he was succeeded by Jeff Jarnigan.
