Vic Davis/Earl Swingle Scholarships were first given at Torch Night 1995. Four rising seniors each received a $1,000 scholarship for their participation in cocurricular activities and for demonstrating “exceptional campus leadership.” The first recipients were Mamar Gelaye, mechanical engineering; Adam M. Hofeler, sports management; Jeromy L. Runion, sports administration; and Leah E. Sparks, public relations.
