Sword and Scales, a social outreach and networking fraternity for College of Law students, was started in August 2011 by Alexander Waters to increase opportunities for law students to get to know graduate students in other programs at UT and in the area. The name was taken from the sword and scales held by the judicial symbol Lady Justice.
