The Switch Your Thinking campaign, launched in 2008, provided a coordinated effort to have members of the campus community take individual actions to save energy. Turning off lights, computers, and window air-conditioners, using a power strip for electrical appliances and turning it off at the end of the day, and various other energy-saving actions were highlighted. Switchie, a giant light switch costumed character, traveled around campus promoting the campaign. Switchie’s Facebook Page gave additional advice and assistance.
