Students Older Than Average

In spring 1983 the Student Counseling Center formed a group of reentry students to develop a support network of enrolled older (over 25) students that could assist entering older students. Their primary activity was a brown-bag lunch on Mondays at the Counseling Center. Chancellor Jack Reese appointed a committee to study the problems of older students at about the same time the Students Older Than Average organization was formed, and while the two groups were separately formed, SOTA assisted the reentry committee with its work.
