Student Issue, 2014—Budget Priorities

The Progressive Student Alliance marched into President DiPietro’s office on September 24, 2014, requesting a meeting as the first step in a statewide, coordinated campaign called “Put the People First.” The objects of the campaign were to prevent further tuition hikes, have a detailed budget constructed that raised university workers’ salaries to at least $15 an hour, and vest responsibility with President DiPietro and Governor Haslam to execute and maintain the budget.
