Student Government Association—Computerized Voting System

Prior to spring 1996 students voting in SGA elections had to present a student activities card, and then poll workers manually looked up information about them to determine in which residential and academic areas they could vote. In spring 1996 student information was compiled on computers, and students needed only to swipe their activities cards to obtain a ballot personalized for the student.
