Stephanie Boyd-Durner

Stephanie Boyd-Durner graduated from UT with a degree in communications. She became a reporter and weekend anchor at WJHL-TV in Johnson City, where she covered a broad spectrum of topics, although often focusing on criminal and medical news. She also anchored several documentaries on women’s health issues. She then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to cover the fast-growing sport of NASCAR racing for programs on TNN and, later, Fox Sports Net.

She was the first female to host a NASCAR program on national cable when she became the host of the highly acclaimed news magazine Inside NASCAR. She also served as cohost of NASCAR Tech. For the 2004 season, she joined John Kernan as cohost of the Performance Racing Network’s Sunday Drive, a two-hour interactive call-in show, which aired Sundays from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and originated from Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte.
