Between fall quarter 1986 and winter quarter 1987, the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, with help from the Association of General Contractors and Chi Epsilon, the honor society for civil engineers, improved West View Park by building a shelter from which parents could watch their children at play. Fifteen UT students were responsible for the work.
