Settlement Dime Days

In March 1916 a program, spearheaded by Professor McDermott of the Law Department was instituted to collect funds for the Hunter Settlement House, in which the Law Department’s Free Clinic was located. Two days were set aside each month upon which every student was encouraged to give at least one dime to the cause. The collections were taken at the required chapel, and a donation box was also provided.
