Dr. Wolf joined the faculty of the university’s Department of Economics in 1958. He was a specialist in industrial organization and government-business relations. In addition to being the coauthor of Industrial Organization and Public Policy (1971), he published articles in professional journals and contributed chapters to scholarly works. He was a consultant to the Federal Trade Commission and to municipalities in Tennessee, and he appeared as an expert witness before legislative committees of the Tennessee General Assembly on fair trade legislation. His intellectual contributions to the life of the university have been recognized by placement of a plaque in his honor on a faculty study.
