The Council of Deans and the Chancellor’s Office constituted a Review and Reduction Task Force, chaired by Dr. Anne Mayhew, vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies, in November 2003. The committee identified an initial seven programs to review: Urban and Regional Planning (MSP); Educational Administration and Policy Studies (MS, EdD, PhD); Health and Safety (various degrees); Human Resource Development (BS); Dance (undergraduate minor); Engineering Management (MS); and Engineering Physics (BS). The task force also developed a process for the review and implementation of decisions made as a result of the reviews.
