The Tennessee Eta Tau Sigma chapter was installed on April 24, 1950. It was founded on March 16, 1915, at the University of Illinois. Its membership is composed of juniors and seniors with high GPAs and who demonstrate the qualities of leadership, personality, trustworthiness, industry, dependability, and probable future success in mechanical engineering.
