The Tennessee Epsilon Chapter of the national fraternity Phi Kappa Psi was established on April 22, 1967, and was active on campus through 1983, closing because of lack of interest. It reestablished itself in fall 1985. The national organization was established in 1852 at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The colors of the fraternity are Cardinal red and hunter green, and the mascot is Bosco the dog. The philanthropy of Phi Kappa Psi is the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of America. Notable alumni of the national fraternity include Woodrow Wilson, Mark Spitz, Michael Bloomberg, Roy Schneider, and Peter Graves.
