In December 1919 the Alpha Delta Chi, or Roosevelt Club (named for President Theodore Roosevelt), was granted a charter by the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity at Roosevelt’s Inn. The Roosevelt Club was established on January 7, 1918, and installed with appropriate ceremonies in the afternoon and evening of January 9 at the Masonic Temple. The fraternity was inactive during World War II and was reactivated in 1946.
