The White Avenue Parking Garage is an 866-space, five-level parking garage on White Avenue. Construction began in the fall of 1994, and the garage opened for use in August 1995. It was dedicated on November 27, 1995. The garage, designed by a joint venture of King and Johnson Architects and Matthew Brady Architects, both of Knoxville, cost $6.5 million. It was financed by revenue bonds, to be repaid by parking fees. Ray Bell Construction Company of Brentwood, Tennessee, was the contractor.
