Rachmaninoff, Sergei Vasilievich

Sergei Rachmaninoff, composer, pianist, and conductor, played his final concert in Alumni Memorial Building on February 17, 1943. A plaque in the building commemorates this concert. Radon

A research team from the College of Education’s Teaching Science 496 class tested radon levels in 12 UT buildings at selected ground floor sites from November 21, 1988, to February 28, 1989. All radon levels were beneath 4.0 picocuries per liter of air, the point at which corrective measures were indicated.

Ragheb, Ali Abu

Railgating

In 2005 the Three Rivers Rambler began offering fans the opportunity to “railgate” on one of the stationary railroad cars parked off Neyland Drive near Thompson-Boling Arena.  An open car (“Forthright”), a coach car (“Trustworthy”), a luxurious car (“Tennessee”), and a caboose were available for rental at costs from $1,000 to $5,000.
