Orange and White Week

The week before the Orange and White Game is traditionally one of activities sponsored by campus organizations and, as the game approaches, by the Alumni Association. Activities range from ice cream socials to field days and cookouts.

Orange Doors—Houses in the Lake/Terrace Avenues Area

In fall 1977 UT Facilities Services painted the front doors of houses owned by UT in the Lake Avenue/Terrace Avenue area “big orange” so that security and maintenance personnel could distinguish UT property from that owned by others. Inadvertently, three front doors of houses on Melrose Place were also painted, but those doors were repainted.
