Freshman Timothy Lail, from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died suddenly of natural causes while eating lunch at the Kappa Sigma House on September 21, 1980, as part of the fall rush program. Lail was a graduate of McCallie School and was a resident of Clement Hall.
