Alumni Mail Room Named for Marion Lawhorn

In March 1995 the Alumni Mail Room, from which mailings to alumni and friends emanate, was named for Marion Lawhorn, upon the occasion of his retirement. Lawhorn managed the mail room for more than 40 years, overseeing the change from individual plates for mailings and hand cranking of the meter machines to fully automated mailing.

In 1920 the All Students’ Club sponsored a drive for contributions for a memorial to students who had given their lives in World War I.
