Alternative Break

Begun in spring 1993, with a trip of 30 students to Homestead, Florida, to assist with Hurricane Andrew relief and cleanup, the TeamVOLS Volunteer Center sponsors student trips during fall or spring break to other communities to perform service.

Alternative Fuel Engineering Projects

Beginning in 1989 UT engineering students have established a winning record in the Department of Energy’s Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions, managed by Argonne National Laboratory.
