Prior to spring 2000, some four thousand students had to wait in line to turn in applications to apply to return to university housing each year, and then the information had to be manually entered into a computer. In spring 2000 the housing process was placed online (although students still had to print out the confirmation form at the end of the selection process and turn it in to the front desk of their residence hall).
