The UT Commission for Women instituted the Angie Warren Perkins Notable Woman Award in 1995, and the first designee was Angie Warren Perkins. Award recipients were listed on a plaque in the Carolyn P. Brown University Center (unveiled March 14, 1996). The award was first presented at the Charter Day luncheon and then, with the abandoning of the luncheon, at the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet. The award recognizes women in three rotating categories: administrators, alumnae, and faculty/staff.
