Nelson Nee, a native of mainland China, who fled with his family to Taiwan in the late 1940s, served as associate dean of students and director of international students and cultural affairs at UT from 1960 to 1969. He came to UT pursue a master’s degree. He left UT in 1969 to become vice chancellor of Far East campuses with the US International University.
