A celebration of the Bowl Championship Series win over Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl for the 1998 national championship was held at Neyland Stadium on January 30, 1999. Dampened by rain, the celebration resembled a regular home football game, except with free parking and no assigned-seat ticket. There was a Vol Walk, the band paraded, and big-screen TVs showed the championship game. Those who attended received a commemorative front-of-car license plate.
