Mike Keith

Mike Keith earned the BA in political science from UT in 1991. As an undergraduate, Mike worked for WUTK-FM and the Vol Radio Network. After graduation Mike worked for WIVK AM/FM Radio and WBIR-TV in Knoxville. He worked as the pregame show host for Tennessee radio stations that aired the Houston Oilers’ games in 1996. In 1997, when the team moved to Tennessee, he became the scoreboard host. He finally moved into the booth in 1998, the team’s second year in Tennessee, and became the color commentator. In 1999, the team’s first year as the Titans, he finally took over the play-by-play announcer position, becoming the youngest play-by-play announcer in the NFL when the Titans promoted him to that position. He is now widely known as the “Voice of the Titans.” He has been named as Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year eight times since 2000, has won more than 20 Associated Press state awards and has captured two national honors, including the industry’s most prestigious award: the Edward R. Murrow Award for nationwide excellence in sports reporting. He is a member of the University of Tennessee Baseball Hall of Fame.
