The medical technology curriculum involves three years of study in the College of Arts and Sciences plus 12 months of practical and didactic training in clinical laboratory sciences at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. The Department of Pathology and the Dynacare-Tennessee Laboratories at the UT Medical Center are the home of the Medical Technology Program. The 3+1 program leads to the BS degree with a major in medical technology. A certificate is also awarded by UT Medical Center. The program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
