The library’s card catalog was “frozen” to monographs in 1992, following a trial that began in 1986 in the Music Library of having the collection available on computer. The computerized and paper systems were concurrently updated until 1994, when only the computerized version was updated—first for monographs only and then for serials. The card catalogs were removed from Hodges Library (relocated to the reference room in Hoskins Library) on Monday, January 25, 1993. The cards were discarded some years later.
