In 1958 the College of Law added the LSAT to the three years of college work already required for admission to UT law school. The test was not used to screen applicants on a uniform basis, but was used primarily to evaluate the likelihood of success in law school of students who had been admitted but were experiencing academic problems. The test was made a part of minimum requirements for admission in 1964. The bachelor’s degree was required for admission beginning in fall 1968.
