Construction began on the Joan Cronan Volleyball Practice Facility in February 2014, with the $2,725,000 structure scheduled for completion in fall 2014. Located adjacent to the Regal Soccer Stadium, the facility has three courts, players’ locker room and lounge, athletic training area, equipment room, film study room, and coaches offices. Architects for the project were Studio Four Design, and the contractor was Rouse Construction. The board of trustees named the facility for Cronan at its June 2014 meeting. The idea for the dedication and initial donations were made by a group of prominent UT alumnae—Ann Furrow, Frankie Wade, and Janet McKinley. The facility was dedicated on October 24, 2014.
