Joe Crafton, a 1984 graduate of the College of Business, made a $1 million gift to the college in 2010 in commemoration of which the college named the terrace of the building the Crafton Family Terrace. Crafton was president of CROSSMARK, a leading provider of services to the consumer goods industry. He made his gift in recognition of the impact that the university had had on his family. His wife, Wendy, graduated in 1984 with a humanities degree; his father, Joe Sr., graduated in 1950 as an engineer; and his mother, Patti, who was a Torchbearer, graduated in 1955 in education. Two brothers, Hugh (business) and Nick (engineering) also graduated from UT.
