In April 2000 President Gilley appointed a committee designed to improve student life on campus. He announced that the institution would take the recommendations of the committee and build them into the process of improving life for all students. He appointed Dr. Grady Bogue, professor of leadership studies in the College of Education, as chair. Other members of the committee included Dr. Terri Mangione, assistant professor of education administration and supervision, vice chair; Tom Rogers, vice provost for student affairs; and Will Carver, outgoing president of the SGA.
