Football Tickets—Distribution Plan

In February 1927 the Athletics Department first adopted a policy of ticket distribution. The tickets (number, location, desirability) were allocated on the basis of seniority to annual subscribers. Seniority was determined by the number of consecutive, paid-up annual subscriptions credited to an individual. A “nonactive” subscription ($3) was offered to allow individuals to hold and extend their seniority. No priority consideration or special reservation was made in dispensing athletic tickets other than to active or nonactive subscribers. Subscriptions had to be paid annually in advance. The number of subscriptions permitted per person varied from year to year.
