Football Club Sport

In 1894 baseball was the game of choice, and the Athletic Association voted in October 1894 to abandon football. There were no formal teams in 1894 and 1895, but UT’s club team, captained by William B. Stokely, went 2-0-2 in 1894 and 4-2 in 1895. David Chapman was quarterback for the two seasons.
