Dr. Bradley W. Fenwick, professor of Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine, was one of 13 scientists chosen by the Department of State to serve as a Jefferson Science Fellow for 2011. He was the first UT faculty member to be named to the program and the first veterinarian. The fellowships were created in 2003 to bring experienced, tenured researchers to the Department of State for a year to strengthen the science and technology capabilities of the department. He came to UT Knoxville in 2007 to serve as vice chancellor for research and engagement, a position he held from 2007 to 2010.
