Services of the UT Employee Assistance Program (EAP) were made available in spring 1984. Harold Hotchkiss, of the UT Personnel Office, was the first coordinator. The program links employees and their families with sources of assistance to solve personal problems that affect their lives or job performance. The program went statewide on April 1, 1990, under the administration of the state’s Institute for Human Resources.
