Educational Opportunities Planning Center

Dr. Orin Graff, of the College of Education’s Educational Administration and Supervision Department, was successful in 1966 in obtaining funds to establish the Educational Opportunities Planning Center (later known as the Race Desegregation Assistance Center, and later still as the Mid Atlantic/Appalachian Race Desegregation Assistance Center), which during its 20-year existence, assisted dozens of school systems in complying with federal desegregation legislation and planning for educational change required by law.
