Delta Psi Alpha was founded in 1956 at UT as an honorary synchronized swimming society. The society’s membership was drawn from junior and senior women who had been outstanding in the Dolphin Club. The principal function of Delta Psi Alpha was to act as the managing organization for the Dolphin Club in producing the annual aquatic pageant.
