Cindy Noble, a 6-foot-5-inch center from Clarksville, Ohio, averaged 15.2 points and 7.1 rebounds a game during her career as a Lady Vols basketball player from 1978 to 1981. She was a three-year starter and helped get UT to three AIAW Final Fours and two runner-up finishes. She was a member of the team that won the inaugural SEC tournament in 1980 and was named All-Tournament. She shot a UT season record 67.9 percent from the field in 1979–80. She was a 1981 Kodak All American and was also a member of the 1980 and 1984 United States Olympic Teams, winning gold in the 1984 games, with Pat Summitt as head coach. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (2000) and the Lady Vol Hall of Fame (2002). She was honored as UT’s SEC Legend during the 2014 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
