Chakett Club of Chi Phi was formed as a Chi Phi colony on September 17, 1967, received its charter as a Phi Delta Chapter on November 22, 1969, and was reorganized in 1992. It became inactive in 2000 and recolonized (Delta Colony) in 2008. The national organization was established in 1854 at Princeton, at the University of North Carolina, and at Hobart College. Its colors are scarlet and blue. Its national philanthropy is the Big Brothers of America. Famous alumni of the national organization include Walter Cronkite, Adam Larson, Billy Lane, and Chris Harwick.
