The Chi Beta Phi Fraternity, a local group, was formed in December 1927. Its colors were red and silver gray, and its flower was the white rose. It rented a house from the university at 1514 West Cumberland Avenue. It was installed as the Omicron Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi in 1931.
