A component of the UT Institute for Public Service, the Center for Industrial Services was established in 1963 as the Government Industry Law Center. It provides technical and managerial assistance to strengthen the state’s manufacturing sector. It is the managing partner for the Tennessee Manufacturing Extension Program, a cooperative venture with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
