Blue Triangle was originally a division of the YWCA, and its motto was Bring your lunch and join the bunch! In 1954–55 men were admitted to membership, and the organization evolved into a modified, coeducational daytime Y. Sponsored by the University Christian Association, the group maintained the practice of lunchtime meetings at the university center and adopted a purpose of enabling students to keep abreast of current affairs by group discussions and outside lectures on various topics concerning both the world and campus communities.
