Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honorary fraternity in business administration and commerce was established at UT (Tennessee Alpha Chapter) in 1947. The national organization was founded on February 13, 1913. Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Membership is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International. To be offered admission, students must rank in the upper 10 percent of their senior class and the highest 7 percent of their second-semester junior class.
