Baseball Games in Cuba against Cuba’s National Team Members

The UT baseball team became the first team in SEC history to play games in Havana, Cuba, in December 2002, when it played three games against teams comprised of members of Cuba’s National Team in Havana. The Office of Foreign Assets Control in Washington, DC, gave the team approval to make the trip, and Congressman Jimmy Duncan assisted Tennessee in scheduling the games and finding practice facilities.
