Art Stolnitz graduated in 1952 from the College of Law. The day after receiving his degree, Stolnitz left for California. After several months, he began working for the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills in the legal department, when someone had quit only minutes before his arrival to apply for a job. He became vice president of ABC Pictures in 1969, executive vice president of Metromedia Producers Corporation in 1970, and executive vice president of Charles Fries Productions in 1975. He joined Warner Brothers Television in 1977 and served as director of Business Affairs (1977); vice president, Business Affairs (1977–80); and senior vice president, Business Affairs (1980–90). In 1990, he joined Lorimar Television as executive vice president, Executive and Financial Affairs. He served on the UT Development Council, and as a member of the UT Theatre National Advisory Committee. In 2001 the library in the Legal Clinic at the College of Law was named for him.
